Miss Froggy enjoys swims in the park pond, sit under the tree and read her favorite book, "Alice in Wonderland".
She hopes to one day meet Alice and go on great adventure of her own.
She is posing here surrounded by pink flowers from the meadow.
She is a jar top. what will she keep in her jar is up to you!
These were created for swap at Clay Carnival. we were to create something small around 1" but it can be anything. so I made 70 cats for all the lovely ladies. All of them are different and each one was sculpted without any mold.
Miss Kroker is a froggy who loves sitting by the window looking out and having her snacks. Today's snacks are donuts and some fruit. Jelly donuts are her favorites.
The succulents do not need to be watered.
This Kitty looks out the window all day. It's never boring. There's always some pigeons and people walking by. Today's snacks are cup cakes. The snail is after some crumbs.
The succulents do not need to be watered.
Blue Bunny wants to be a regular rabbit. She thinks maybe she needs to eat more carrots. but who can say no to donuts?!?!
Maybe someday, she'll be a brown or white rabbit. But these days, she feels being blue is not too bad.
The succulents do not need to be watered.
Modoki means "not quite" in Japanese. She's not quite a cat. or no longer a simple cat... which could it be?
about 3" tall
This name tag was created for one of the Lisa Pavelka cruises.
It was to be a name tag as well as a contest. I wanted to make something that grabs attention, in bright colors, and uniquely different. I wore it with a sculpture of a mermaid hanging from the side to go with it. and I've won a prize this night!
This is a fairy from Christi's Flora book. He is only about 2 inches tall.
He sits in my studio table checking out everything I do. Hoping for a friend he can talk to.
This Fairy lives in a pocket watch. Actually, he already ate all the parts already. He might sneak into your watch to eat more gears when he is hungry.
This was created from Dee Schiller's tutorial.
Each faces have unique expression and one one has the same feature. some are not even human!
This was from Christi's neighborhood project to create faces. I love it so much I had so many. so I decided to bunch them up into a board.
This vessel came to life in Christi's workshop in Maryland. As soon as it came to life, it started taking it's first step. She uses her 3 legs to walk quite fast, so be careful.
The workshop was in her sister Stacey's shop. Which was a lovely little gallery full of handmade artifacts. and in the back there is a room where we can all make art together. My daughter started this vessel but too tired to continue. so asked me to finish it with blue and yellow.
and certainly received the blue and yellow touch.
I loved it! and natually, my daugher hated it. so now this piece of work is mine!
The Polymer Clay Adventure 2016 had a Shrine tutorial taught by Laurie Mika. I made this tiny Shrine.... but I'm not so religious so it is actually a house for little Thumblina. she's sitting in her flower bed nice and cozy.
Don't forget to lock the door at night!
This is the 2nd Shrine from Laurie Mika's class. It was almost Valentaine's day and hearts were everywhere. That was all I saw.
Therefore, it's full of hearts!
This flower was one of Christi's neighborhood's first project. I saw her down under book and decorated this mini tin can.
it's super duper detailed.
My mom has chickens. a lot of them. Her name was Apple Pie.
One day when my mom went to feed the chickens, all she found was a pile of feathers instead of Apple Pie. Where did she go?
So, mom picked up a bunch of feathers and packed it in an envelope with a letter to my daughter. on the letter it said.
She was a good Chicken.
that's it.
of course my daughter cried her eyes out.
These magnets are fun to make. They are about 1 inch in diameter. I originally thought about making round cakes ....and Voila!!
They became something completely different!
Not sure how that happens all the time, but I do like this kind of surprises.
I have a confession....
Fimo asked artists to send a tile of Polymer Clay work and send it for an installation in Germany in 2016...
I made it. and told them that I would send it...
but I like it so much I kept it....
I'm sorry!
This is again from Christi's workshop. flying horse with bird feathered wings soaring though the sky. He is actually a toy horse during the day and starts flying around at night. notice the peg like legs? He is in transition at this stage.
